MERIT AWARDS:
The aim of these awards is to
encourage improvement at every level and to reward regular attendance.
Merit awards are given out after every four weeks of competition. There
are three types given; track, field and an encouragement
award per age group. The method of selecting awards being that all
athletes receive one point for each event they have entered in and an
additional two points for improving their time or distance. These awards
are presented before competition on the appropriate Saturday morning. As
there are 20 age groups to present the awards to, we ask that everyone
arrives on time on Merit Award mornings and helps to ensure their children
are present and are ready to collect any award they may receive. Please
applaud all award winners.
