You are able to
visit this website as a direct result of the efforts of number
of committee members for whom I express sincere thanks on
behalf of everyone at Ryde Athletics.
This site is now well used as the the cornerstone of publicity
for Ryde Athletics. We use it to to share many useful pieces
of information for athletes, parents and visitors. You can
find all manner of items for download including registration
forms, carnival programs and competition rules and our popular
Footprint magazine.
This is the 40th year of our sport in NSW and we now have over
40,000 children participating in what we know to be one of the
most fun things they and their families can be involved in.
The underlying principle of Junior Athletics competition is
what sets us apart from other sports. At our foundation is the
encouragement and recognition of personal bests. Our programs,
events, competition and awards are strongly oriented to assist
everyone in achieving PB’s. It is essential that we as a club
and as parents foster this approach to athletics and
hopefully, all other areas of life as well.
The direct measures of our success as a facility for young
athletes always lie in the area of their results and
achievements. No season passes without some club records being
broken. This is direct testimony to the quality of our
coaching staff and their programs and the dedication of our
young stars that set these new marks. Look into the coaching
sections of this site to see how your athletics achievements
can be lifted by specialist coaching in your pet events.
At Ryde we also have a very active program for local schools
which encourages them to come and use our facilities for their
carnivals. Please look into the contact details if your school
is considering an Athletics Carnival in the months from April
through to August.
