BEING AN AGE MANAGER

Being an age manager or assistant age manager is one of the most rewarding volunteer positions. The age managers guide the athletes from event to event across the field and book their groups in with the starter or field event official. In one sense they are most privileged in being able to get up close to the action in every event competed.

Age managers are responsible for collecting the results sheets which are then submitted for recording. They also are responsible for organising entries to zone carnivals and relays. Age managers may also need to help officiate at events where there is a shortage of officials.
